It is the goal of Contuck Preserve to create an architecturally harmonious community. Architectural design guidelines are in place to help guide and protect the aesthetic character of the development. Using the Craftsman Style architecture as a guiding principal, we encourage the use of natural colors and textures such as rough-sawn woods and certain types of earth-toned stucco. Colors in the subdued brown, gray and green ranges are generally most appropriate. We also encourage the use of natural materials such as cypress, cedar, redwood, rock and stone. The idea is to create homes using eco-friendly design that blend seamlessly with their natural surroundings. Other design styles that compliment the Craftsman style will also be considered for approval.
In creating these guidelines, we know our residents will appreciate the rustic elegance these mountain homes represent. Creating harmony with the environment further enhances the overall atmosphere where you can relax, recharge, and renew.
